KINGSWOOD Day Nursery - Alderholt

Welcome to KingsWood Day Nursery

We are busy preparing to open our doors and utilise the gorgeous field, forest, playgrounds and large indoor space which have stood still since March 31st. Our safety and hygiene procedures are ready and waiting for the safe return of all our KingsWood families on the 1st June 2020. Between now and the 1st June 2020 please use email as the main form of contact.

We would love for you to come and meet the team who will be nurturing your little one in our cosy converted old school building on the Dorset/Hampshire boarder in the rural village of Alderholt, Near Fordingbridge. We are preventing visitors into the setting at the moment due to Covid-19, but other provisions are in place for show rounds.

You will not miss us with our Mongolian yurt on the field and our woodland classroom with no windows or doors opposite.

KingsWood Day Nursery is an outstanding, private day nursery registered and inspected by Ofsted.

Your child will create memories they will treasure for a lifetime. From wiggling tiny toes in mud,  finding and hatching dragon eggs, building fairy houses and digging war trenches. Your child will learn valuable life skills, tool use and experience the magical childhood which every child deserves.

Your child will experience the inspirational woodland site and outdoor facilities alongside its idyllic building. There are 3 forest school sites located in our Woodland which offer enriching experiences to all ages of children, where your child's learning will be nurtured in the natural surroundings. On registering your child at KingsWood you will be able to request a membership to our closed facebook group whereby Michelle pops snippets of the children's day on the site.  This is a huge hit with a lot of our families. We hope you enjoy it whilst on your coffee break, or when you have those spare few minutes between jobs.

We are able to care for your little one,  Monday-Friday, 7.45am-6pm, 50 weeks of the year (closing a week in August and over the Christmas period) Email us today to discuss the variety of sessions to meet your families needs,  including mornings, afternoons and full day care. There is no limited amount of sessions, which some nurseries insist on.

If you are looking for term time only attendance, give us a call, and grab a limited  term time only spot.

We are a small setting with a big heart, and a lot of space!  We do not believe in bake bean canning children into every nook and cranny.

Your child will have space and freedom to be enriched with outstanding care and outcomes.

In our Ofsted report the inspector commented that, "Staff have an excellent understanding of how children learn through exploration and play. Children are active, keen learners displaying great levels of imagination in a stimulating environment both indoors and out. Children are cared for and motivated to be active learners in an environment where their safety and well-being is of highest priority."

We are not charging a registration fee, or a holding fee at the moment-Happy 2020 everyone!

For a limited time only if you register to join KingsWood before August 2020 and quote KingsWood Treasure 2020 you will receive 50% off of your 3rd months fees.

Penny and Simon the ducks are currently staying safe and staying at their home away from the nursery site.

We are making slow, but everlasting changes to the paper waste and plastics at KingsWood. The first thing we are reducing is the paper used to write our observations on. Observations are now written straight into learning journals where possible.
We now have an Eco party pack to help reduce plastic waste. Families are able to hire reusable tableware  to reduce the amount of disposable plates, bowls and cups at their children's parties.

Unfortunately due to Covid-19 no Forest School clubs for children aged 5-8 years are running this year.
